Program Description
As access to data continues to grow, companies are relying even more on data science and data analytics to make informed business decisions. Because of this, the field of data and analytics is one of the fastest-growing and highest-paid sectors in the 21st century. Data science jobs are in great demand and a degree in analytics and technology from Rockhurst University equips students with business intelligence skills to fill these challenging roles.
Students in the analytics and technology major may choose from two tracks: Business Analytics and Data Science. The Business Analytics track gives a broad approach to analytics, incorporating project management, analytics for business decision making and market research. The Data Science track takes a deeper focus on the core science of data and statistics.

Learning Outcomes
- To be able to answer business questions using a great amount of company data

- Through the extensive connectedness of Helzberg School of Management faculty, students have access to a broad array of internships each summer to build their data science skillset

Outcomes
The Analytics and Technology program has a very high placement rate for jobs and internships and is a great start to becoming a data scientist or data analyst. Graduates may choose to pursue a graduate degree in the business intelligence or data science field or find entry-level positions such as:
