Program Description
As a part of Rockhurst University’s exercise, sport and health science department, graduates of the exercise science program are prepared to help others achieve maximum mobility and health. Similar to a kinesiology degree or sports medicine degree, the exercise science major is an excellent choice for students interested in careers in personal training, kinesiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical rehabilitation, exercise physiology, nursing, medicine, and corporate fitness and wellness. Students should discuss their future plans with an adviser as early as possible to ensure all graduate school prerequisites are satisfied.
A minor in exercise science is also available.
