Engineering majors (civil, electrical and mechanical) often work in engineering services, research and development, construction or manufacturing and perform tasks centered around design, development and building. Internships and other forms of practical experience are available in engineering services companies, aviation, construction, transportation and government agencies. Computer science majors work in designing computer technology, developing code for software programs, in web content management, analyzing computer systems and/or providing troubleshooting services. Internships are available in corporations and business in various fields.

- The RU Career Account:
This account must be set up by Career Services. It gives access to internship postings sent directly to Rockhurst from employers. Sign up for an account at weekly workshops on Tuesdays at 3:30 pm, Wednesdays at 10:00 am, and Thursdays at 1:00 pm in Career Services.- NACE Link
