RU Career Account
The RU Career Account is a web-enabled database that connects Rockhurst alumni and students with potential employers. The database contains an up-to-date listing of career opportunities with local, regional and national employers. Employers utilize the database to search for candidate resumes and schedule campus interviews, so it is highly beneficial for to upload and publish resumes via the system’s resume books.

Resume Instruction & Critique
Career Development is available to assist alumni with the creation and refinement of their resume and cover letters. Our experienced staff will provide feedback and recommendations on formatting, content, organization, and etiquette, along with proofreading for grammatical and spelling errors. Interview Preparation
Alumni interested in improving their interviewing skills may participate in a mock interview through Career Development. During mock interviews, alumni will gain experience responding to traditional and behavioral interview questions. Put yourself at a competitive advantage by enhancing your interviewing skills before the big interview.

Employment Scam Warning Signs
If you observe any of the following, you may be the target of an employment scam.
- The position seems too good to be true
- You are offered the position before interviewing
- Your personal account info is requested
- The person is hiring "while away on business"
- You are asked to cash a check
- The website domain is different than the email
- Something just doesn't seem right

Career Development is located in Massman 3. Schedule an appointment during office hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, by contacting 816-501-4861. Staff are also available to meet with alumni by appointment before or after regular office hours.
