Academic Board Petition
The Academic Board Petition approves exceptions to the curriculum, for individual undergraduate students, which do not fall under the changes reserved for departments/programs. The form is found on the Registrar Intranet page under Student Forms.
Update Student Information
- All enrolled students may change their contact information (phone, non-Rockhurst email, mailing/billing/home address) directly through their Rockhurst Campus Portal.
- Students may change their preferred name, or nickname, at any time through the Preferred Name Change Request form. The preferred name will appear on class rosters, mailing lists, Deans' Lists, as well as in information sent to the home, etc. A preferred name will not be used on official documents such as the student's official transcript.
- Individuals who have legally changed names can request to update their official name of record with Rockhurst University. Bring legal documentation of name change to the Registrar's Office in Massman Hall along with proof of photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc.). We do not recommend documentation be submitted via email as it is not considered a secure method of communication.
- Fax a copy of legal documentation and a copy of photo ID to: 816-501-4677. This fax comes directly to the Registrar's Office.
- Come to our office in person on the first floor of Massman Hall.
- Mail a copy of legal documentation and a copy of your photo ID to:

Degree Works
Degree Works is a tool to assist students, advisors, and faculty with monitoring a student's academic progress. Degree Works organizes coursework in an easy-to-read degree audit summarizing completed requirements for a degree, as well as those that are still missing. It also shows how each requirement has been satisfied and what courses can be taken to complete any remaining requirements.
The degree audit provided by Degree Works does not replace the need for students to consult with their advisor.
