Popular Courses
A first course in macroeconomics, a social science, that introduces students to theories of how the economy operates and demonstrates the interrelationships of macroeconomic policies, national debt, inflation and unemployment. From primary information sources and educational media, students learn to hypothesize, gather data and test fundamental economic relationships, as well as learn to anticipate the performance of the overall economy.
Students will be able to identify business use cases for predictive analytics, apply and interpret Exploratory Data Analysis output; identify basics of inferential statistics for business problems, use regression as a predictive modeling tool, use other forecasting tools and models to solve business problems, extract data from external sources, apply time series methods and modern analytics programs such as R, and communicate results of data analysis.
Provides Sophomores or Juniors with focus on developing their business skills to enter and exceed in the business community. Emphasis is placed on communication (both verbal and written, as well as presentation skills); practical application of ethics; formal and non-formal dining etiquette; interviewing (for an internship or job). Students will be required to attend appropriate job fairs.
A study of major taxes and taxation issues as they pertain to corporations, partnerships and sole proprietorships. Emphasis is given to concepts, practice, research and communication of tax issues.
