Process for Adjudicating Cases of Academic Dishonesty in the Joint Program

• Any student guilty of academic dishonesty must see the Rockhurst Director of the Joint Program for administrative action beyond any action imposed by the individual faculty member, whether a Rockhurst or a UMKC faculty member.
• The Director will select one or more of the following sanctions for breaches of the Standards of Student Conduct:
  • Letter of Censure or Reprimand placed in the student’s file;
  • Grade Consequences, depending upon the faculty member’s actions
    • Failure on assignment linked to the dishonesty,
    • Failure for the course in which the dishonesty occurred
  • Permanent Dismissal from the Program

*This process is consistent with and employs terms as they are defined in the Joint Program Policy for Probation, Removal and Readmission, as well as Dismissal from the Program.
