From camps for young children, to conferences, to meetings, to housing for interns, from afternoon events to events taking place over several months, Conference Services at Rockhurst University is the ideal place for you and your group to host your event.
Rockhurst University has an exclusive contract with our campus dining partner, Chartwells. All food and beverage service on campus must be arranged through them, regardless of the event type. View online menus and ordering
Event Options
Rockhurst has a host of facilities available for single-day or multi-day events lasting up to a week. Below are a few of the many possibilities available:
- Classrooms that can accommodate 20-40 individuals are available to be rented as meeting spaces or as breakout rooms for conferences.
- Medium-sized rooms that can accommodate up to 150 individuals can be rented for activities such as meetings and dinners.
- The Arrupe Auditorium, which can accommodate up to 485 individuals, is available for larger meetings, speakers and conferences.
- A large event space with a maximum capacity of 500 individuals can be used for large dinners, conferences, meetings and other similar events. Rockhurst catering information
- Both the Bourke Soccer field and the Convocation Gym are available for rental for sports camps and games.

Overnight Events
If you wish to plan an event on campus that will be longer than a day and/or wish to include on-campus housing accommodations in your event, please fill out the form above to begin your inquiry process. Once the form is submitted, someone from Conference Services will contact you regarding your event.
Please note that overnight events will be very limited during the summer of 2026.
Summer Interns
(Please note that a $100 deposit/prepayment is required at the end of the form to reserve your spot on campus.)
If you are a student interning in the local Kansas City area over the summer or a current student, Rockhurst has housing accommodations available for you. Long-term summer stays on Rockhurst’s campus will be in Townhouse Village. These houses are located on the east side of campus, bordering The Paseo. Each house has a kitchen with a cooktop, a convection oven/microwave, and a full refrigerator. Furniture for the living room, dining room, and bedroom is provided. Wi-Fi, free shared laundry, and all utilities and trash are included. Each unit can accommodate 4-6 individuals, with 2-3 sharing a bedroom and bathroom.
These houses are only available for rental from May 17, 2026, to August 2, 2026.
Full summer cost: Private Bedroom $3950, Double Bedroom $2710.
The Townhouse Village, located on campus, includes several safety measures. Rockhurst’s Security officers patrol the area and are available for on-call response 24-7, every day of the year. A dispatcher continuously monitors several cameras in the area.
