As an institution of higher education closely affiliated with Saint Luke’s™ Health System, the Saint Luke's College of Nursing and Health Sciences seeks to prepare graduates to become health professionals that can effectively meet the health care needs of diverse populations and work in a variety of complex organizations.
Comprehensive Offerings
Saint Luke’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences recognized the need to adapt to trends in higher education, healthcare education and general education, so we joined Rockhurst University to become a college of nursing and health sciences.
Our full complement of course offerings is structured to allow students to advance their knowledge continuously and seamlessly and further their career opportunities. We are committed to preparing the health care workforce of tomorrow by offering many types of degrees ranging from certificates to graduate-level degrees.
Mission
As a learner-centered, service, and community-minded College, we develop reflective leaders in nursing and health sciences who are ethical, inclusive, and compassionate professionals.
Saint Luke’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences is an educational leader serving exceptional students pursuing health care professions including Speech-Language Pathology, Exercise Science, Health Science, Nursing, Medical Assisting, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. As a comprehensive university affiliated with Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City, the college seeks to prepare health professional leaders to effectively meet the health care needs of diverse populations in complex organizations and in a variety of settings. A broad base of knowledge derived from liberal education studies is integrated into each program as a foundation for personal growth, professional education, and practice. A stimulating academic environment focuses on the discovery, scholarship, and practice to address societal needs in health care.

NHS has five unique principles intentionally integrated into the curriculum of each program. The principles allow the students to apply concepts learned to the real world. Each discipline in NHS commits to these five principles and maps each principle to opportunities provided throughout the curriculum. Interdisciplinary Studies
Rockhurst University offers a wide range of Interdisciplinary Programs that incorporate two or more areas of study to prepare students for diverse careers in a global context. Focusing on an interdisciplinary approach allows students to learn a variety of academic topics and skills that they can apply after graduation to seek innovative solutions to complex problems.
