Rockhurst's tuition and fees are among the most affordable of all Jesuit colleges and universities. More than 98% of students receive financial aid and we award over $30 million each year in institutional financial assistance.

Academic scholarships are awarded upon admission to the university. Admitted students can then apply for additional talent, interest, or competitive scholarships; and need-based financial assistance is awarded based on the submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

No. A little more than half of all Rockhurst students are Catholic. The rest of our student body represent a diverse variety of religious beliefs and traditions. Rockhurst operates on a rolling admission basis, reviewing applications as they are submitted. However, priority is given to applications received by Dec. 1 for the following fall's freshman class. Learn more about the application process.

You should begin applying for financial aid as soon as October 1 of your senior year by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Keep in mind that you won't be awarded financial aid until you are accepted to the university. Your chance of receiving a more comprehensive financial aid package increases the earlier you submit a financial aid application.

Applicants should submit financial applications by February 1 for priority consideration for state, federal, and university funds.

Students are accepted to Rockhurst University based on the quality of several factors and case by case review. Those factors include grades and rigor in high school courses taken, ACT or SAT scores (for specific degree programs), class rank (if applicable), recommendations (usually from counselors or school administrators), honors, awards and involvement in activities outside of the classroom.
