Ideal candidate: The Organizational Leadership Certificate prepares students who want to grow in the leadership roles within their industry and organization.  The concentrations within the Organizational Leadership Certificate allow you to gain knowledge in the areas that best match your career goals.

Prospective outcomes: The Organizational Leadership Certificate with an Interdisciplinary Concentration allows you to develop the leadership skills and knowledge that you need to grow as a leader in your organization, and select additional courses that meet your individual career goals and interests.

Interdisciplinary: Select the specific courses that match your career goals and interests.  Students may select any additional graduate-level courses offered at Rockhurst University to complete the required 10 credit hours.

Healthcare: Gain knowledge in the organizational and legal environment of the healthcare industry. 

Required Coursework:

  • MG 6370 - Introduction to Healthcare Management Principles (2)
  • MG 6340 - Health Law (1)
  • One additional 6000+ MG course of the student’s choosing

Human Resources: Gain the human resources management, and conflict negotiation knowledge needed to succeed in a human resources career.

Required Coursework:

  • MG 6380 - HR and Managing People (2)
  • MG 6220 - Conflict Management and Negotiation (2)

Nonprofit Administration: Gain knowledge in nonprofit governance and leadership, as well as resource development and program planning.

Required Coursework:

  • NP 6010 - Nonprofit Governance and Executive Leadership (2)
  • NP 6050 - Resources Development for Social Impact (2) OR NP 6090 - Program Planning and Evaluation (2)
