Service Immersion Trips
Service immersion trips invite students to take our mission and values outside our comfort zone. These weeklong mission trips include cultural immersion activities, community service projects, relationship-building and daily prayer and reflection, moving students to find a deeper understanding of the gospel’s call to solidarity and justice.
While on a recent service trip, someone told me, 'truly caring for someone and doing the works of God is doing so without expecting anything in return.' Cura Personalis, to me, is caring for people: whole-heartedly, unselfishly, and judgment free. This is the biggest lesson I have learned at my time here at Rockhurst, and I hope to continue practicing the value of Cura Personalis throughout my life.

RU <3’s KC, our home for more than a century! The University continues to build rewarding partnerships that strengthen our Kansas City community and offer unique opportunities for Hawks to learn, grow and serve.
I like to engage in activities that 'scream' mission. I enjoy participating in service trips, and the relationships I have forged on those trips loom large in my mind when I think of mission.
