Dining Services at Rockhurst University strives to provide you the best possible on-campus dining experience — making sure it's always convenient, affordable, and delicious. If you live on campus, you can choose the meal plan and campus food that works best for your schedule: either a 235 block + $200 flex dollars or a 300 block + $200flex plan. If you're a commuter and it's more convenient to eat and grab food on campus, several meal plans are available to you.
All meals are preloaded on your ID card, so all you have to do is swipe — saving you time and money. All meal plans are accepted for all you care to eat at the Thomas More Dining Hall- each entry is one "block". Additional on-campus eateries include: Student's Choice, The Market, and Einstein Bros. Bagels. With the meal plan, the options are endless — even for those who have food allergies. The University dining hall has items for those who have to avoid certain allergens so there really is something for everyone. Plus, the dining hall is supported by an award-winning culinary team, which makes flavorful food options to sustain your body and mind. If you want to purchase a meal plan with your credit or debit card, please complete the form below.
You may add flex dollars if you already have a meal plan. You may also upgrade your meal plan but you may not lower your meal plan after the first week of classes. Flex dollars may be added in increments of $50.00.
Campus Dining Locations
Thomas More Dining, or The Eatery Massman Hall:
- "500 Degrees" - providing fresh made pizzas, calzones and strombolis.
- "Fresh 52" - our freshly made salad bar with fruits, vegetables, and grains.
- "Carved and Crafted - create your own sandwich.
- 'Flame" - burgers and other grilled favorites.
- "Innovation "Kitchen" - a prepare to order venue featuring creative culinary concoctions.
- "Homestyle" - your favorite home-style comfort foods.
- "Nook" - a variety of self serve hot and cold items.
- 'Hawks Choice" - food concepts chosen by you!
- "G8" - Gluten and Allergen Free.
Rock Room, Massman Hall: - Student Choice- "Rock E Hawks Sandwiches and Soup". Students will vote each semester to choose the next format offered.

Meal Plan Options for the 2024-2025 School Year
All meal plans are tax-free.
Dining for Residence Hall Students
Students living in the Residence Halls may choose between the 300 block + $200 flex plan or the 235 block + $200 flex plan. All plans allow for entry into the all-you-care-to-eat Thomas Moore Dining Hall. Flex points may be carried over from the fall to the spring semester but must be used by the end of the spring semester.

THV Residents: May choose the 300-block meal plan, the 235-block meal plan or the 120-block + $500 flex dollar meal plan. Residents must have at least the 120 block + $500 flex plan. Kateri Community: No meal plan is required but recommended. Kateri residents may choose any meal plan.
Students living in Rockhurst Row Houses, Kateri, and Commuter Students may choose one of the above plans or one of the special plans below:
- 120 Blocks + $500 Flex Dollars – Enjoy up to 120 meals at our all-you-care-to-eat dining hall plus $500 flex dollars to be used at any on-campus dining location, or snack vending. $1,670/semester
- 60 Blocks + $550 Flex Dollars – Enjoy up to 60 meals at our all-you-care-to-eat dining hall plus $550 flex dollars to be used at any on-campus dining location, or snack vending. $1,165/semester
- 30 Blocks + $300 Flex Dollars – Enjoy up to 30 meals at our all-you-care-to-eat dining hall plus $300 flex dollars to be used at any on-campus dining location, or snack vending. $610/semester
Dining During Housing and Semester Breaks
Limited food service is available for students staying on campus during semester breaks. Dining Services will notify students about locations and times of operation prior to breaks. Hawk dollars, debit cards and credit cards are accepted during breaks. Residence halls are open during Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break and Easter Break.
Meal Plan Cancellations and Refunds
Prorated refunds for the current semester's meal plan (less a $150 service charge) will be offered when a student meets one of the following conditions:
- Enrollment withdrawal
- Move from residence hall assignment to Rock Row or Kateri Community
- Complete withdrawal from the residence life system
Campus meal plans cannot be downgraded after the first week of school, but can be upgraded. The meal refund schedule matches the university's academic refund schedule. Please consult the course catalog for the full refund schedules. No refunds will be made after the fourth week of classes.
Hawk Dollars
For students who do not want to purchase a meal plan, you can purchase Hawk dollars through the Dining Services website or the Thomas More Dining Hall. Hawk dollars remain on your card until you leave the university and are subject to a 10.975 percent tax.
