COVID Policies

Reporting Your Illness

Individuals with illness symptoms that prevent attending class, clinicals, or work must notify their instructor or supervisor.

Isolation and Treatment

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control recommends those experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or other respiratory viruses stay home and away from others.

According to the CDC, those who test positive for COVID-19 can return to normal activities if, for at least 24 hours:

  • Symptoms are improving overall, and
  • A fever, if present, has broken without the use of a fever-reducing medication

For five days after resuming normal activities, adhere to best practices when it comes to preventing further spread, including:

  • Taking care to maintain proper hygiene, including thorough hand-washing
  • Wearing a well-fitting mask
  • Maintaining a distance from others where possible
  • Testing for respiratory virus
