Biography
Jennifer Rinella, Ed.D., is a tenured associate professor of management and nonprofit leadership in the Helzberg School of Management. She also serves as campus executive director for the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance program.
Rinella brings both academic and nonprofit management experience to the classroom. She has held leadership and consulting positions with Providence St. John Foundation, Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, the LIGHT House, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Ronald McDonald House Charities, as well as the Mechanical Contractors Association. Rinella formerly served as director of the Center for Service Learning at Rockhurst University.
She has received the National Campus Program Excellence award from Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, the Rockhurst University Excellence in Outcomes Assessment Award, the American Humanics Community Service and Volunteerism Benchmark Award, the Presidential Grant for Faculty Development and Jerome and Jeannette Cohen grants for research and program innovation. Rinella currently serves on the boards of the National Seminar on Jesuit Higher Education and the Journal of Nonprofit Education and Leadership, and is a trustee for the Cooney Family Foundation.
