Rockhurst University Earns No. 11 Ranking on Regional Best Colleges List in 2018 U.S. News Rankings
Rockhurst University moved up several spots, as did several undergraduate programs in the Helzberg School of Management, in the U.S. News and World Report’s 2018 Best Colleges listings.
The University was ranked No. 11 among Midwest regional universities, the highest ranked institution in the Kansas City area. In the previous year’s list of best regional universities, the University was ranked No. 15.
The ranking in the best regional universities wasn’t the only accolade for Rockhurst — the University was also ranked No. 12 among regional universities on the “best values” list, leading the Kansas City region in that category as well.
“This is great news for our students, our faculty and our alumni,” said Doug Dunham, Ph.D., vice president for academic affairs. “I believe these rankings reflect the incredible work the University community continues each day, in the spirit of our Jesuit core value of magis, to collectively strive for more.”
Several of the Helzberg School of Management’s programs earned national nods from U.S. News and World Report in its undergraduate business program rankings. The school’s undergraduate management program was listed at No. 11 on a national ranking of similar programs, tied with the University of Notre Dame. And the Helzberg School came in at No. 9 on the list of undergraduate quantitative analysis programs, tied with the University of Texas-Austin.
“We are proud and excited to be ranked among other nationally-recognized institutions for both our longstanding management program and for our offerings in the emerging, data-driven field of quantitative analysis,” said Cheryl McConnell, Ph.D., dean of the Helzberg School of Management. “Our mission at the Helzberg School is to prepare our students to be successful, ethical leaders wherever they go, in whatever field they choose.”
