Biography
Dr. Lynne Clarke has taught courses in geriatrics, productive aging, medical conditions, mental health, mental illness, theory, occupational analysis, and fieldwork; additionally, she has mentored master’s and doctoral students in research and capstone projects. Her clinical experience has primarily been working with older adults.
She is the Occupational Therapy Program Director and Department Chair. She is actively involved in developing OT curricula, serves on various departmental and university committees, including chairing the University’s Rank and Tenure Committee, and is a member of community boards.
Dr. Clarke’s scholarship focuses on engagement in meaningful occupations to enhance well-being and quality of life in a variety of populations. Dr. Clarke is a journal reviewer for Occupational Therapy in Mental Health.
She is pursuing a Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification through Herman & Wallace.
As a certified and classical comprehensive Pilates instructor, Dr. Clarke promotes healthy movement that keeps the mind and body active.
