Dr. Caroline Olawaiye has an ADN from Penn Valley Community College in 1997, a BSN from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, MO in 2009, an MSN in Nursing Education from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, MO in 2013, and a DNP in Nursing Leadership and Innovations in Health Care from the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO in 2018. Her focus in Nursing Leadership and Innovations in Health Care was specific to quality improvement in patient outcomes (patient infection reduction and fall prevention) and nursing education. She completed the Missouri State Board of Nursing Education Section New Program Administrator and Faculty Orientation Training program in 2019 which served as preparation for her role as the BSN Director. Caroline has been with Saint Luke's College of Nursing and Health Sciences since 2013 as a faculty member teaching in the Traditional BSN and the RN-BSN programs. Core courses taught (Health Assessment, Adult Health Clinical and Simulation), and Nursing Leadership). Responsible for course development, facilitating coursework with faculty and students. She served as the Coordinator for the RN-BSN program until her promotion to BSN Program Director in 2020. Her focus as the BSN Program Director is on promoting the college’s core values, faculty professional development, undergraduate student and faculty instructional and assessment resources, student learning support systems, and effective student learning outcomes.
