CHHS Programs Earn National Recognition on Student Surveys
Several programs in Rockhurst University’s College of Health and Human Services were recently recognized by graduateprograms.com for rankings based on student satisfaction.
The physical therapy, occupational therapy, education and communication sciences and disorders programs were all ranked by the website based on the responses to a student survey that evaluates graduate-level programs in 15 different categories. Scores on those surveys are then averaged and compared to those of other institutions to determine the rankings.
In the site’s spring 2015 semester rankings, Rockhurst University’s physical therapy program was ranked on the list of top programs for financial aid, value and career support, and was listed No. 6 in the nation for networking. Overall, the physical therapy program was ranked No. 13 among physical therapy programs nationwide, according to the student surveys that inform the rankings.
The occupational therapy program was named No. 15 on graduateprograms.com’s list of best occupational therapy programs for value and No. 18 on the list of top occupational therapy programs for career support.
Finally, the Master of Education degree program in CHHS has been listed at No. 11 on graduateprograms.com’s list of top teacher certification programs.
“To be listed among some of the top programs in the nation is certainly an honor and a credit to the outstanding work of faculty and staff in the College of Health and Human Services, ” said Michael Clump, Ph.D., interim dean of the College of Health and Human Services. “Rockhurst University prides itself on being student-focused, and we’re pleased to see that approach resonating with students.”
