Rockhurst University Named Top University by Kansas City Favorites
The votes are in.
On Monday, Kansas City Favorites, a magazine published by the Kansas City Star that ranks the best in everything from restaurants to law firms in the area, named Rockhurst University the top higher educational institution in the Kansas City metro.
The 2024 publication includes more than 637 local businesses, organizations and individuals ranked in 270 categories. Winners in the gold, silver and bronze categories were determined following an online public vote, among more than 4,900 nominees. The University earned the bronze medal in the same category the previous year.
“We are honored to be included in this list and named Kansas City’s favorite university,” said Sandra Cassady, Ph.D., Rockhurst University president. “I might be biased, but I believe it’s easy to see why when you’re on campus. From the students who graduate ready to make a difference in the world through their careers to the alumni leaders who speak with pride about their alma mater wherever they go to the community partners with whom we work to make this community even better, Rockhurst is a place that exudes KC pride. It fills my heart to see the feeling is mutual.”
