Business Specialties Ranked Among Top in U.S. in Best Grad School Rankings
Two specialty graduate business programs at Rockhurst University’s College Business and Technology are ranked among the top 30 in the nation, alongside rankings for occupational therapy, physical therapy and communication sciences and disorders, in the Best Grad Schools list released today by U.S. News & World Report.
The management MBA specialty, part of the Helzberg School of Management portfolio of business programs, was No. 27 on the list, tied with the larger institutions including Texas A&M University and the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. Myles Gartland, Ph.D., dean of the College of Business and Technology, said the program has been consistently recognized in that category for more than a decade.
“Our faculty and staff put a lot of effort into ensuring that our management curriculum continues to provide high-quality, Jesuit graduate business education to our students,” he said. “Earning these rankings year after year is an indicator of their dedication and of the prestige that has become synonymous with Rockhurst University’s Helzberg School of Management.”
It was not the only graduate business program that earned recognition against national peers. The business analytics specialty came in at No. 25 on that list, sitting alongside the likes of Northwestern University and fellow Jesuit institution the University of Scranton. The program has been ranked in the past but was not included in the previous year’s list.
“Our offerings are formed by the expert partners we have from the Kansas City business community,” Gartland said. “Our business analytics programs were created to deliver the technical skills graduates need to operate in this growing space, but also the leadership know-how that comes with the unique Jesuit approach to education.”
In addition to graduate business programs, the University’s programs in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and communication sciences and disorders were also ranked among their national peers.
In September 2023, the College of Business and Technology also saw two undergraduate programs ranked among the top 40 on the national ranking of undergraduate business programs. The undergraduate analytics program earned No. 34 on a list of the specialty programs in the U.S., and the management path was tied for No. 32 in the U.S.
