Helzberg School of Management Launches New Additions to “Stackable” Certificate Portfolio
Building on the demand from professionals for “stackable credentials” and the fact that employees are now more likely to change careers during their professional lives, the Helzberg School of Management at Rockhurst University is adding a number of options for the spring semester to its growing portfolio of graduate certificates for post-baccalaureate students.
“Whether they’re looking to reset their careers or move forward in their current paths, our newest certificates sit alongside existing degrees to allow professionals a chance to more easily expand the breadth and depth of their knowledge within in-demand areas of specialization,” said Cheryl McConnell, Ph.D., dean of the Helzberg School of Management.
The new certificates in organizational development, human capital, fundraising leadership and STEM-focused science leadership join existing options in health care management, international business, management, data science and finance. Consisting of 12 credit hours, each certificate program can be completed in six terms, or approximately 15 months, making it easy for professionals to choose one or more to add to, or “stack,” their existing credentials and experience.
“Students in these programs have full access to the opportunities and resources available to all of our students,” McConnell said. “That includes professional coaches, the University Career Center, and the high-impact speakers.”
In addition to the graduate certificates, the Helzberg School also launched new MBA concentrations in organizational development, human capital, entrepreneurship and fundraising leadership.
Course offerings in the new certificate programs and the MBA concentrations began in the spring semester. Visit rockhurst.edu/helzberg for more information on the full range of programs.
