Join us for this discussion of how the emerging technology of artificial intelligence is challenging conceptions of personhood.

Noreen Herzfeld, Reuter Professor of Theology and Computer Science and Religion at the College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University and author several books including "In Our Image: Artificial Intelligence and the Human Spirit," will discuss the theological implications of AI within Catholic thought

John P. Slattery is the director of the Grefenstette Center for Ethics in Science, Technology, and Law at Duquesne University and author of several publications on the intersection of technology ethics and Catholic ethics.

The conversation promises an engaging interaction on how AI is shaping ideas on personhood in relation to knowledge and creativity as well as the potential and limitations of AI with respect to Catholic theological ethics.
