Service isn’t just a small part of the life of a Rockhurst student. Serving others to make the world a better place is part of the backbone of a strong Jesuit education.

At Rockhurst, this notion of service is introduced to the students early. The Finucane Service Project has been a part of freshman orientation to acclimate students to the world of service.

Thorough the life of the project, nearly 6,000 students have spent more than 12,000 hours giving back to the community.

The event is named after Rev. William (Bill) Finucane, S.J., who served as the University's director of campus ministry until he passed away in 1993.
