Join us for a free book discussion of "Heartbeat of a Struggle" (2005), a biography written by Diane C. Fujino about Yuri Kochiyama, a Japanese immigrant who grew up in California in the 1920s and 1930s and who became a prominent activist for social injustice during the 1960s.This discussion is facilitated by Cecilia Samonte, Ph.D., Rockhurst University associate professor of history. Space is limited—participants may take part in person or online via Zoom.
