Program Description
Rockhurst University’s corporate accounting and finance degree is a concentration within the Bachelor of Science in business administration (BSBA) degree offered through the Helzberg School of Management. You’ll explore careers in finance and concepts in accounting, investments, financial markets, and institutional management.
The degree in finance and accounting will transform you into an expert in financial accounting and management accounting, allowing you to create information structures and systems to maximize organizational performance in your future workplace. This vital role helps businesses reach their full potential.
In addition to corporate accounting and finance coursework, you’ll complete two innovative financial accounting sequences as part of the BSBA core:
- Professional readiness sequence
- Technology and predictive analytics sequence
Both sequences were developed by expert Helzberg School financial accounting faculty based on market research and consultation within hiring managers at area companies with a goal of better preparing students for the evolving accounting and finance industry.
In addition to this, you also have the option to pursue Excel certifications, further differentiating you from your peers.
And we can’t forget to mention one of the most important reasons why you should earn your corporate accounting and finance degree from Rockhurst University: The Helzberg School of Management is AACSB accredited. This is the highest level of accreditation and one achieved by only five percent of business schools in the world. A finance degree from an AACSB-accredited school sets your business management degree, and you, apart from the pack.
